A Redbank property has been destroyed in a house fire on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a Brisbane Road property at around 12.30pm following reports of a house fire.

The home was fully engulfed upon arrival, with firefighters still working to extinguish the blaze as of 1pm.

Two people removed themselves from the house. It is understood they were not injured.

Four Queensland Fire Department crews attended the scene.

The Queensland Police Service has encouraged motorists to avoid the area and for residents to keep their windows and doors closed due to large amount of smoke in the area.

More to come.
