Hollywood star Owen Wilson has been invited to “have a beer” with Queenslanders as he strolled through Brisbane’s CBD on Saturday morning.
Wilson had previously been spotted hanging out on Brisbane’s James Street which sparked a wave of discussion online, with some fans insisting it was a hi-tech fake.
The Loki star was also spotted filming his latest blockbuster Runner at New Farm Park, where locals watched crews capture scenes for the big-budget action thriller.
Now footy fans have received the star treatment with his casual strolled through the CBD past The Victory Hotel wearing a beige suit and white shoes.
“Owen, Owen come for a beer,” a man can be heard shouting as he records the Hollywood A-lister.
Wilson seemed jovial in response pumping his fist, but continued down the street.
Pub goers can be heard cheering “yeaaah” and “Come for a beer” and “WOW”.
Videos posted to X this morning show a film and TV crews with a large black out screens in the streets of Brisbane CBD.
With crews standing in the middle of quiet roads, seemingly shut down to the public while filming is under way.
Runner is directed by Expendables 4 filmmaker Scott Waugh, Runner stars Wilson alongside Reacher actor Alan Ritchson and is set to pump around $20 million into Queensland’s economy, while showcasing Brisbane and the Gold Coast as themselves on screen.
