Grave fears are held for a man after a serious crash involving two trucks on Old Cleveland Road in Chandler on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 3.15pm following reports of a collision between two trucks.

A man in his 20s is in a life-threatening condition, while five other people were assessed by paramedics at the scene in a stable condition.

Old Cleveland Rd is closed eastbound at Tilley Rd, with traffic banked up from Bedivere Street. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.

In a separate incident, traffic is at a standstill on the Warrego Highway westbound at Karalee after a multi-vehicle crash involving four vehicles.

Paramedics are on the scene assessing multiple patients.

Drivers heading westbound on the Warrego Highway at Karalee are facing delays of up to 51 minutes, with traffic crawling from the Cunningham Highway exit toward the Warrego Highway from Riverview.

One person was transported in a stable condition to Ipswich Hospital. Three other patients were assessed but did not require transport.
