Six people including young boy injured after crash at Mt Tarampa

A young boy and a teenager are among six people involved in a serious car and truck crash west of Brisbane.

Multiple people, including a child and a teenager, are being treated by paramedics after a serious crash involving a car and a truck in the Somerset region west of Brisbane.

Six people are being assessed by ambulance crews, some with serious injuries, and a number of helicopters have been sent to the scene at Mt Tarampa.

The incident occurred at the corner of Coominya Connection Rd and Forest Hill Fernvale Rd.

A young boy was treated with significant leg and abdomen injuries and remained in a serious condition.

A woman in her 30s, the driver of the car, had been assessed with serious back, arm, and hip injuries.

A man in his 50s, the driver of the truck, was stable and had suffered minor seatbelt injuries.

Three other children were in a stable condition.

One young girl had been treated for abdominal injuries, and another young girl was assessed for neck pain.

The teenage girl had been assessed with significant facial, shoulder and leg injuries.

Meanwhile, a man was left with potentially life-threatening injuries in a separate crash at Blacksoil in the same region.

The seriously injured person was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital after being trapped in a vehicle for about an hour.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said there were four patients in a two-vehicle crash on Bayley Rd and the Brisbane Valley Highway at Blacksoil.

“Three other male patients, one in their 20s, 30s and 40s, all in a stable condition, were transported to Ipswich Hospital,” she said.

The other three people were taken to the Ipswich hospital in a stable condition.
