Cyclist seriously injured after bus collision at Waterford

A bus carrying a large number of passengers has collided with a cyclist south of Brisbane, leaving the man seriously injured.

A cyclist has been seriously injured after his bike collided with a bus at Waterford, south of Brisbane, on Tuesday night.

The bike rider, a man in his 30s was taken to the Princess Alexandria Hospital in a serious condition after the crash on Waterford Tamborine Rd about 7.30am.

The man sustained significant shoulder and leg injuries and remains in hospital.

It is believed the bus was carrying a large load of passengers when the crash occurred.

Police are urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward to assist in their investigation.
