A cyclist in his 60s has died after he was hit by a train at a level crossing in Brisbane’s south.

A cyclist has died after he was hit by a train at a level crossing in Brisbane’s south.
Emergency services were called to the level crossing at Nathan Road and Penarth Street about 4.30am.
The 69-year-old bicycle rider, from Runcorn, was found with critical head injuries. He died at the scene.
Delays of up to 30 minutes were experienced in both directions on the Beenleigh, Gold Coast, Ferny Grove and Airport line services due to the incident.
Roads that were closed have since reopened.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
