34-year-old man killed after motorcycle crash in Mount Cotton

A motorcyclist has died after a horrific accident southeast of Brisbane on Friday afternoon.

A motorcyclist has died after hitting two vehicles in Mount Cotton on Friday.

A 34-year-old man was riding southbound along Mount Cotton Rd near the intersection of Double Jump Rd around 5.20pm when he hit a stationary vehicle and was thrown off his bike into an oncoming car.

A Queensland police spokesman said the rider suffered severe injuries upon impact but no one else was harmed.

“The rider, a 34-year-old Wellington Point man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene,” A Spokesman said.

“The occupants of the other vehicles were not physically injured.”

Anyone with dashcam footage or information is urged to contact police.
