Queenscliff’s two-goal star Che Durran has been reported for striking a Geelong Amateur opponent on Saturday.

Durran allegedly struck the Ammos’ William Simson which triggered a mini melee in the third term at the Couta Bowl.

The Coutas’ lead had been trimmed back to 25 points after a Mitch Day goal from the boundary.

However, after play was restarted in the centre, vision shows Durran being tackled to the ground by Simson before he appears to strike his Ammos opponent.

Several players from both sides then engaged in rough play before a yellow card was issued and both Durran and Simson left the field.

Simson had been left dazed and it took nearly 30 seconds for him to get back up on his feet.

The BFNL has seen relatively few charges this season after six rounds, with Torquay’s Tom Diamond the only senior player to be suspended so far.

Diamond received a two-game ban after pleading guilty to rough conduct with Anglesea’s Harrison Ling.
