The serving police officer charged with the murders of a Sydney couple has been sacked from the police force.

Former senior constable Beau Lamarre-Condon was removed from the NSW Police Force on Friday morning, a spokesperson confirmed.

Mr Lamarre-Condon was charged with the murders of Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird and his boyfriend Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies at a Paddington sharehouse in February.

NSW Police released a statement on Friday confirming Mr Lamarre-Condon had been dismissed.

“An off-duty police officer charged with two counts of murder in Sydney’s eastern suburbs has been removed today from the NSW Police Force,” the statement read.

“Under section 181D of the Police Act 1990, the Commissioner has the ability to remove officers if she has lost confidence in their suitability to continue as a police officer.”

The bodies of Mr Baird and Mr Davies were found inside surfboard bags buried on a remote property near Goulburn in the state’s southern tablelands following a one-week search.

Investigators allege the couple were killed by Mr Lamarre-Condon using a police firearm.

The deaths triggered an outpouring of grief within the city’s LGBTQIA+ community, with large arrangements of flowers and tributes regularly placed outside the Paddington property where Mr Baird lived.

Police allege the killings followed “predatory” behaviour by Mr Lamarre-Condon, who had been in a brief relationship with Mr Baird months before the alleged murders.

Mr Lamarre-Condon remains in police custody on remand and is due to return to court next month.

The couple’s bodies were allegedly still under a tarpaulin in the courtyard when Mr Baird’s housemates returned home later that evening to find the home in disarray.

They have reportedly moved out of the Paddington terrace where the alleged murders took place.

Furniture and household items including outdoor couches, towels and arm chairs, as well as a pink disco ball and football, were pictured on Thursday outside the home.

A handwritten note reportedly written on the football informed passers-by: “Jesse and Luke, gone in a moment, forever out of reach.”

“Memories linger as hearts slowly breach. Tears fall like rain as grief takes hold, the pain of loss is a story often told.”

Mr Baird’s housemates reportedly rented the property for $1200 per week in April 2023, but were understood to have decided to end their lease early after the shock deaths.
