Rita Panahi: Lastest claims a new low for bully Meghan Markle

It’s one thing for Meghan Markle to allegedly bully her aides but quite another to be taking potshots at little Charlotte.

Meghan Markle’s bullying antics have made headlines in the past but the latest claims against the duchess represent a new low for one half of the couple known as the Ginger and the Whinger.

Though it must be said that Prince Harry is as much a whinger as he is a ginger; having made an art form of playing the victim.

But it is Meghan who stands accused of reducing Kate Middleton to tears after being critical of Princess Charlotte’s wedding attire.

In his new book, Revenge, investigative journalist and best-selling author Tom Bower claims that Meghan “compared Princess Charlotte unfavourably to her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter” during a bridesmaid fitting in the lead up to her royal nuptials.

And, according to the author Kate who was already “irritated by complaints of Meghan bullying her staff” broke down in tears.

The latest claims against the duchess represent a new low for her.

Those bullying complaints led to a formal investigation but Buckingham Palace has refused to make the findings public.

But it is a matter of public record that the Sussexes communications secretary Jason Knauf lodged a formal complaint where he claimed in an email that Meghan had “bullied two PAs out of the household in the past year”.

“The treatment of (royal staffer) was totally unacceptable. The duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights,” he wrote back in 2018.

“She is bullying (royal staffer) and seeking to undermine her confidence.

“We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behaviour towards (another royal staffer).”

Tom Bower claims that Meghan “compared Princess Charlotte unfavourably to her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s daughter” during a bridesmaid fitting.

The whole exchange got the Markle treatment during the infamous Oprah interview where she claimed that it was in fact Kate who had reduced her to tears.

“(Kate) was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologised. And she brought me flowers,” Markle said

“A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining - yes, the issue was correct - about flower girl dresses, and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings.”
