The Duchess of Sussex has continuously been exposed as a fibber, but her latest elaborate lie makes her the Jussie Smollett of the royals.

Meghan Markle is the Jussie Smollett of the royal family.
If you’re unfamiliar with Smollett he is an American actor who fabricated the most fanciful hate crime imaginable, claiming to have been bashed by MAGA wearing racists armed with bleach and lynch rope who he fought off in the snow armed with nothing more than a Subway sandwich.
His absurd story was of course believed widely by the US press and Democrat politicians but he eventually ended up in jail over the obvious hoax.
That he ever thought any reasonable person would accept his fantastical tale shows how demented the privileged victim-players have become which brings me to the Duchess of Sussex.
Markle’s tales of racism, oppression and cruelty at the hands of the royal family, the British media and people is similarly absurd but she took things to a new level with a claim that people in South Africa celebrated her wedding like Mandela’s release from prison.
But the South African she claimed made the remark says it never happened.
Of course this is not the first time Markle has been caught out in a lie; her interview with Oprah was peppered with verifiable untruths fact-checked by a number of media outlets from the BBC to the Daily Mail.
But even by Meg’s standards this lie was a doozy. While the whinger is being exposed as a fibber, the ginger is being exposed as a world class hypocrite.
Prince Harry made headlines for taking a private jet to a polo match just a few weeks after lecturing the UN about climate change “wreaking havoc”.
IN SHORT:
Given the caliber of lawyers involved I would not be so reckless as to proffer a verdict on the latest Wayne Carey affair but it may be useful to reflect on this extract from his book: “I’d always been told and taught to deny, deny, deny, unless you have been caught red-handed. And even if you have been caught red-handed you still deny, deny, deny.”
