THREE teenage criminals remain on the run this morning. They are aged 16 or 17.
In the eyes of the law, they are considered juveniles and cannot be identified.
The Herald Sun believes that following their violent escape and subsequent carjackings this group of young thugs has forgone the right to have their identities protected by the very law they have no respect for.
To help police and the community identify these teens the Andrews Government must immediately waive the right to anonymity and release mug shots — and their names.
The continued protection of their identities can only aid their escape.
The public must come first.
