Clementine Ford and Matt Chun helped to circulate the leaked names of hundreds of Jews

The shock-jock feminist has played a part in whipping up a mob against Jews. It seems Jews alone get named and terrified for privately discussing ways to counter people with a different opinion.

The worst thing about Matt Chun and Clementine Ford is not that they’ve circulated the names of 600 Jews to howling Jew-hunters.

Even more disgusting is that our arts bureaucracies gave both barbarians tens of thousands of dollars of your money to keep them in business.

Our government-funded arts industry is a cancer when it rewards enemies of our civilisation who are little talent and much hate.

Matt Chun is, of all things, a watercolourist for children’s books, and raises extra cash by selling pictures of a burning police car.

Clementine Ford is a shock-jock feminist, infamous for writing “kill all men” and complaining: “The coronavirus isn’t killing men fast enough.”

Both have now helped to circulate the leaked names of hundreds of Jews (not personal details) – mainly academics and creatives – from a WhatsApp group, including their occupations and the photos of about 100.

Some of their victims have since been threatened.

One couple report receiving a picture of their five-year-old, with this warning: “We know where you live.”

Chun, who called the list “ours” on his Instagram page, explained this Jew-naming by claiming “Zionists” are “parasitic upon progressive spaces”, and the WhatsApp chat “confirms” that “Zionists are thoroughly racist” and “thoroughly anti-Indigenous”.

Chun strikes me as not just a bigot but a fool: the Jews were in Jerusalem thousands of years before any Palestinians, so are more “indigenous”.

He also cannot know if all the Jews on the leaked list are also “Zionists” who, like me, believe in Israel’s right to exist.

Ford’s excuse for promoting this list to her 240,000 Instagram followers is that it names people “working to silence voices calling for Palestinian liberation”.

Yet she and 6000 leftists on a Change.org petition have freely called for my own sacking. It seems Jews alone get named and terrified for privately discussing ways to counter people with a different opinion.

Why? Chun’s tweets may give a clue.

On October 7, the day Hamas terrorists started this war with Israel by slaughtering 1200 Jews, raping women and kidnapping 253 people, Chun tweeted this apparent defence: “Power to the freedom fighters ... Death to the occupation. Resistance by any means necessary.”

A year earlier, he was already tweeting: “Death to israel (sic) and f--- all of you who defend it’s (sic) existence”.

But he doesn’t hate just Israel. On the taxpayer-funded Liminal site, he’s claimed “White supremacy ... remains at the core of the Australian state.”

He’s tweeted that the Albanese government is a “violent colonial regime”, Liberal voters are “racist dogs”, and “the US military is the largest global terrorist organisation”.

Yet government-funded agencies sponsor this fester of hate.

Creative Australia last year gave Chun $42,000, and the State Library made him its Children’s Literature Fellow to fight “the settler colonial hegemony of Australian children’s literature”. Create NSW gave him a share of a $187,000 government grant, and the state-funded 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art named him its Emerging Writer.

Writers Victoria, also taxpayer-funded, last year even gave Chun money to visit Vanuatu to do a children’s book about the supposed “enslavement of Pacific Islanders in colonial Australia”.

That’s especially sick-making because most of that money to this defender of the Jew-killing “resistance” in Gaza was donated by the Myer Foundation’s Neilma Sidney Literary Travel fund – a Jewish-funded and Jewish-run charity named after a Jewish poet.

Meanwhile, other government-funded publications publish Chun’s rants and drawings, including Overland, Liminal, Art Monthly Australasia and the Runway Journal, where Chun raged at the “violence and racism” of our police, and complained that Captain Cook statues were protected from vandals.

Thus does a watercolour painter of no great talent invade our public spaces, and make war on our culture.

The Clementine Ford story is depressingly similar.

She’s signed a fan’s book with this challenge: “Have you killed any men today? And if not, why not?”

She’s accused “Zionist women” of being “enthusiastic supporters of a murderous regime that has been killing children for over 70 years”, and last October falsely claimed “Israel will use illegal nerve gas” in this war.

Yet one month later, NSW’s taxpayer-funded film agency gave $31,000 to make a TV series co-created by Ford about a “high-profile media presenter who develops an appetite for murder after one too many sexist microaggressions”. Like that’s what this country needs.

Yes, Chun and Ford are monstrous to whip up a mob against 600 Jews.

But arts bureaucrats sponsor them and their kind. Labor’s arts ministers in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney must insist: never again.
