Andrew Bolt: Welcome to 2025, the year woke finally dies
We’ve been building up to this for years now. The moment when woke autocracies which made it a crime to tell the truth - like saying there were just two genders - collapses.

Welcome to 2025, the year woke finally dies. The year Woolworths says Australia Day merch will again be sold in its stores, thongs and all.
We’ve built up to this moment since 2022, when Elon Musk bought Twitter and changed the algorithms that had conservatives put on mute.
Then, in 2023, Australians voted no to the Voice, Labor’s plan to change the constitution to divide us by race.
Last year came another body blow to the woke’s identity politics. Britain’s Cass Review found insufficient evidence that “transgender” children were helped by having their puberty blocked.
Then the big one: the election of Donald Trump, who last week declared that on the day he’s sworn in as US president – January 20 – he’ll “sign executive orders to end child sexual mutilation”, get “transgender out of the military” and schools, and “terminate” all the federal diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
What’s more, he’ll pull out of the Paris climate accord, and “drill, baby, drill” for more gas.
So we’re set for a collapse of the West’s woke autocracies which attacked free speech and made it a crime to tell the truth, like saying there were just two genders.
This will up-end politics here. Already we’ve just had a Victorian Liberal leader, John Pesutto, sacked after vilifying one of his own MPs for insisting trans men aren’t women.
Liberal politicians will next be pressured to give up the net-zero fraud that we can get rid of coal and gas without running out of electricity. Trump will underline that stupidity by doubling down on gas and making American electricity even cheaper.
But the Albanese government is in for its own reckoning, and not just because of its even crazier climate policies, that cost so much that voters increasingly support the Liberals’ nuclear power plan instead.
Opposition leader Peter Dutton is also hurting Labor by promising to end the divisive flying of three flags. What’s more, voters are also running out of patience with the racist Welcomes to Country.
Watch it all collapse. This anti-woke movement will spread throughout the West, especially as more governments get punished for selling out their countries’ identity and opening their borders to mass immigration.
America has already swung right. Next will be Germany and Canada in elections this year. Australia, too, in our own election in probably April or May.
It’s over, and I have just one concern. What exactly comes after woke?
