Andrew Bolt: Socialists and National Socialists want you to pick a side, and further radicalise radical Victoria
Trying to work out which group is worse is exactly what they want you to do, which is why both sides turned up at a protest that neither organised.

No surprise. Melbourne, the red capital of Australia, now has the most ludicrous bunch of badly dressed Nazis as well.
About 20 turned up outside Parliament House on Saturday to protest against a protest against a protest.
I did say this was Melbourne, right?
So there they were in their black T-shirts and black shorts – too skint and stupid to even get a good uniform – along with that coward Thomas Sewell, the National Socialist Network leader convicted this year for punching a Channel 9 security guard.
To rub in how brain dead they were, they performed Heil Hitler salutes at a pack of screaming neo-communists who had been summonsed by the Socialist Alternative and were brandishing red flags and a Victorian Socialists banner.
Do these wannabe socialists really not know their Marxist creed wiped out even more people than did the Nazis?
The Socialists seemed marginally the more aggressive, shoving the police trying to protect a third group that had made this hate-fest possible by protesting against transgender rights.
No, I don’t expect you to follow all that or work out who was worse, the Socialists or National Socialists.
In fact, trying to work out which is worse is exactly what they want you to do, which is why both sides turned up at a protest that neither organised. They want you to pick a side, and further radicalise radical Victoria.
Don’t. They are twin faces of tribalism now tearing Australia apart, but for years the socialists had the streets to themselves.
They attacked meetings of Dutch politician Geert Wilders, One Nation’s Pauline Hanson, Christians, and conservative Cory Bernardi.
They also crashed into the National Gallery to shut down an Institute of Public Affairs function, all with the excuse that they were “fighting fascists”, and now – to their great satisfaction – they suddenly have the fascists to excuse their thuggery.
That’s how it works. Push people hard enough and some will radicalise, too.
But really, what pathetic fascists these are. Just 20 or so, most too gutless to show their faces.
I checked out one who was maskless, and found what seemed a disturbed young man who’d posted videos of himself gormlessly dancing and going through a train carriage making chicken noises. If that’s our Aryan elite, they’ve been inbreeding.
I wouldn’t worry about them taking over any time soon. Worry more about the culture of thuggery that’s produced not just them but their same-same enemies.
