Andrew Bolt: Secret authors who slam No voters just cowards in hiding

The Aboriginal “leaders” who made headlines by accusing Australians of a “shameful act” in voting No to the Voice are merely frauds and cowards hiding in the dark.

'Australians have committed a shameful act': Indigenous leaders break silence on Voice defeat

I can’t believe journalists are treating these jokers seriously – these Aboriginal “leaders” who’ve made headlines by accusing Australians of a “mean-spirited” and “shameful act”.

How dare we vote No to their Voice, they spluttered in a statement issued Sunday.

What a con. And shame on the journalists who are pumping it up, instead of unmasking the creators.

You see, the authors are anonymous. They’re frauds and cowards, hiding in the dark.

Show us your faces, guys.

Noel Pearson, is that you?

Marcia Langton? Did you help write this? Thomas Mayo?

Hey, maybe it was the work experience kid.

This statement says these anonymous authors purporting to speak for Australia’s Aborigines are “leaders” – but leaders where? Of what?

This secrecy is actually a con, because it makes this statement seem much more significant
than it is.

Let me prove it.

If you knew, hypothetically, that Marcia Langton, an architect of the Voice, helped write this statement you’d just sigh: “Just Marcia again!”

In my opinion, Langton is just an academic from Melbourne University – elected by nobody – and has played that tatty race card for years, abusing everyone from Tim Flannery to John Howard.

She tried it again during the Voice campaign, damaging the Yes camp by vilifying No voters as nasties who were “spewing the racism”. So one more spray from Langton is about as newsworthy as a sunrise.

Same deal if this statement came from the florid pen of Noel Pearson, father of the Voice.

Pearson regularly denounces people who dare get in his way. He’s upset again? Big deal.

Same if this wah-wah was from, say, Thomas Mayo, the former Marxist union official who sold the Voice as a way to get “reparations” and “rent”.

He’s sad? Show me someone who cares. No Aboriginal town or mob elected this bloke.

So who really is behind this statement? Tell me, so I can work out if they’re someone whose opinion matters.

What makes this stunt even more silly is that some members of the Prime Minister’s Aboriginal-only advisory committee on the Voice have said privately they don’t like the document’s language.

So how credible could it be when even some of the radicals behind the Voice think it goes too far?

No wonder the authors would rather stay anonymous.
