Andrew Bolt: Iran attacks on Israel prove it’s pulling the strings of terror

Iran has now shown it’s the puppet master in this war by Islamist groups against Israel, while Israel has proved its critics were wrong to demand it stop fighting and negotiate instead.

Iran says it has finished its missile attack on Israel

The mask is off. It’s now clear Iran has led this terrorist war against Israel, and getting Israel to make peace with Palestinians won’t work.

Iran on Tuesday night fired 181 missiles at Israel, in rage at being humiliated.

It funded and armed the Hamas terrorists in Gaza, only to see Hamas destroyed.

It funded and armed the Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon, only to have Hezbollah’s entire leadership wiped out.

Israel even killed the top Hamas leader with a bomb in his room in Iran’s capital.

So Iran finally had to step up or lose face.

But Israel has already won, before it hits back. It’s shown its critics were wrong to demand Israel stop fighting and negotiate instead.

First, Iran has now shown it’s the puppet-master in this war by Islamist groups against Israel. It said the missile attack was revenge for Israel killing the Hamas chief, the Hezbollah chief and Iran’s top general in Lebanon. All three were in Iran’s pay.

Our leaders cannot now keep acting like Iran is just a spectator. That must change, starting with declaring Iran’s Revolutionary Guards a terrorist group.

Second, we must now see that this war on Israel had little to do with “justice” for Palestinians. Iran called the main shots, and calls Israel an abomination that should be “wiped off the map”. It would never accept a peace deal that let Israel live.

Third, Iran is exposed as weak. The only person killed by its missile attack was a Palestinian, killed in the West Bank by falling debris. That’s symbolic.

This proves again that Iran cannot match Israeli technology, since it’s run by medieval tyrants who don’t believe in the freedom which produces innovation.

Fourth, Israel has shown it cannot be attacked as it was on October 7 without its enemies paying a terrible price. Being feared makes Israel safer than being pitied.

Critics – like the Albanese government – still insist that fighting back won’t make Israel safe. Some warn Iran will now conclude it’s only safe if it finishes building its nuclear bomb.

The truth is the opposite. Israel now knows it’s only safe if Iran never does get that bomb. If I were working on Iran’s nuclear program I’d double my life insurance.

No, Iran’s missile attack and Israel’s military brilliance have ended years of deceit. Israel wins from that, and Iran loses – the only result that makes the West safer.
