Andrew Bolt: Five reasons why Donald Trump is not finished yet

The polls say Donald Trump will get the boot in the US election, two weeks from now, but there are five key reasons why the most effective president since Ronald Reagan will actually win, writes Andrew Bolt.

‘Disgrace’: Twitter, Facebook censor Hunter Biden story

I should be depressed. The polls say President Donald Trump will get the boot in the election, two weeks from now.

But suddenly I dare to hope that the most crass but effective president since Ronald Reagan will actually win.

No, I’m not ignoring the fact that Joe Biden leads Trump not just in every national poll, but almost every poll in battleground states like Florida.

And I sure couldn’t miss seeing that almost all the big media outlets are crusading for Biden, after spending years running fake news to destroy Trump, particularly that disgraceful “Russian collusion” hoax.

I can also see Twitter and Facebook trying to steal this election for Biden by now stopping people from reading or reposting links to damaging reports that his son Hunter abandoned a laptop with emails that show he sold access to his father when Joe was vice president.

But here’s a few reasons I think Trump may yet pull off his second “miracle” win.

ENTHUSIASM: Trump’s election rallies pull thousands of people, yet Biden — allegedly the more popular — struggles to get tens. Democrat supporters just can’t get excited by the very aged and forgetful windbag who’s their guy, while Trump’s fans defy the virus and violent Leftists to cheer him.

VOTING ISN’T COMPULSORY: If Biden’s supporters aren’t enthusiastic, don’t count on enough getting out of the house to vote for him.

SHYNESS: Conservative voters are more scared to tell pollsters how they’ll vote. The Left’s bullying has scared them. This “shy voter” syndrome explains shock results like Trump’s win in 2016, the Brexit result and Scott Morrison’s victory. Biden’s lead in the polls may also be exaggerated.

ELECTORAL COLLEGE: Hillary Clinton got the most votes in 2016 but still lost because the contest is decided by the candidate who wins most electoral college votes, state by state. Smaller states, usually more rural and conservative, get proportionately more college votes.

BIDEN’S A DUD: Have you met one person excited by this bloke? Even Hillary Clinton had more buzz, and she was a total wet blanket.

No, I can now understand why Trump is now bopping to YMCA at his rallies, like a man now supremely confident of victory.

I don’t think it’s all show. I think he smells a win, and I’m starting to think I may just sniff it, too.
