NT Police searching for 12-year-old Jake in Alice Springs, last seen in northern suburbs

NT Police are searching for a 12-year-old boy, with initial investigations indicating he might be in the ‘company of someone known to him’. Read what we know.

Territory police hold concerns for a 12-year-old boy, who they say was last seen in Alice Springs’ northern suburbs and may be with “someone known to him”.

Police said 12-year-old Jake was last seen at 8.40am on February 28, 2025, heading to Braitling Primary School in Alice Springs.

He did not make to his class however, with police now holding concerns for his welfare.

“He is described as caucasian with tanned skin, of thin build, and approximately 140cm tall,” police said in a statement issued on Thursday evening.

Jake was last seen carrying a royal blue “Puma” school bag wearing a blue short sleeved school shirt, black shoes, and grey socks.

Police said initial investigations “indicate he is in the company of someone known to him”.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 131 444.
