After a glut of gigless years as the world recovered from closed borders and messed up touring schedules, Sydney is overwhelmed with awesome shows from the biggest acts in the world in 2025.

Music lovers who have been starved of big shows are about to get a smorgasbord of the biggest acts in the world.
But if they didn’t use that glut of gigless years to save up, the credit card is going to take a battering.
Top ticket prices for the biggest acts in the world range from $179 to see 1980s British-Canadian pop rocker Bryan Adams, all the way to $976 for a premium seat at Metallica’s show at Accor.
And that is just for a ticket to the show. If punters want some kind of VIP experience then the price only goes up.
For the most ardent of Metallica super fans, for whom Nothing Else Matters, the best seats in the house, a private tour backstage and a meet and greet with two members of the band is cheap at $3998. After all, given the band hasn’t toured here for more than a decade, that’s only an investment of $333 a year to meet the metal megastars.
While Metallica top the charts for the most expensive tickets, spare a thought for the fans who are catching the holy trinity of queer pop icons – Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga – in 2025.
The best seats to all three shows this year will set fans back $1121. If you want to add some sad girl pop, add another $269.90 for Billie Eilish.
Of course those on a budget might be satisfied sitting in the nosebleeds to catch Kylie, Katy, Billie and … err … Lady. If you managed to get your hands on the cheapest seats in the house for all four shows you’d still be looking at $510.
When it comes to catching all your favourites, spare a thought for the country music fans who will need to find $132.45 to see LeAnn Rimes, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban this year, with Ms Rimes’ top ticket price coming in at $599.90.
Still, you can’t put a price on hearing her 2000 banger Can’t Fight The Moonlight.
Were someone to have an extraordinarily eclectic music taste and want to see all 10 of the most expensive shows in 2025 they would be going to Metallica ($976), Kendrick Lamar ($855.25), Lady Gaga ($622), LeAnn Rimes ($599.90), Chris Stapleton ($499.45), Oasis ($411.67), ACDC ($407.70), Dua Lipa ($356.75) and Drake ($570) and seeing rock, hip hop, country, pop and metal acts for the grand total of $5849.47.
For the same price they could buy a 98 inch Samsung QLED 4K television and still have enough to pay for a premium YouTube subscription and watch videos of these artists performing from the comfort of your loungeroom.
Or go support some Aussie musicians. Sarah Blasko is at the Enmore for $79.90, Ziggy Alberts at Hordern Pavilion for $98.90 or enjoy a blast from the past with the Cat Empire at the Enmore for $84.90.
And if you want something international, catch American Rebecca Black, she of the viral pop earworm Friday, at the Metro for $81.50.
