Detectives are investigating how a 43-year-old man came to be shot in the thigh after he arrived at Fairfield Hospital on Monday night seeking help.
Detectives have launched an investigation after a man walked into Fairfield Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg on Monday night.
Police said the 43-year-old arrived at the hospital just before 7.55pm, telling staff he had been shot in the right thigh.
He was treated by medical teams before being transferred to another hospital for further care.
Detectives are working to piece together the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
