The Dragons have condemned a fan filmed throwing a meat pie at a group of Bulldogs supporters during the club’s loss on Saturday.

Footage posted on TikTok shows the fan, wearing a Dragons jersey, asking a Netstrata Jubilee Stadium staff member to pick him out a pie before the person filming says “I want that one”.

The man in the jersey asks if the pie would “look good on a Bulldogs supporter”.

After being encouraged to “say yes”, the staff member replies: “I think so.”

The clips skips to the man in the jersey hurling the pie into a group of Bulldogs supporters while others laugh in the background.

An angry Bulldogs fan subsequently storms towards the camera and shows a stain on his jersey, demanding to know if the person filming is taking a video of “me getting hit”.

The video concludes with two police officers speaking to the Dragons fan, who says he is “here watching the s--t game of footy”.

In a statement, the Dragons said the club was aware of the video “depicting anti-social behaviour from a ... fan”.

“The Dragons condemn any such behaviour in the strongest terms and will assist the NRL in relation to any breaches of the NRL Spectator Code of Conduct,” the statement statement.

“The Dragons would like to sincerely apologise to the Bulldogs fan impacted by the incident.

“We will work with the Bulldogs to contact the fan and pass on our apologies directly.”

The Dragons said the club wanted all fans, both home and away, to always feel safe and “any behaviour that causes others not to feel safe will be acted upon”.

“The Dragons would also like to stress that the behaviour of one individual should not detract from what was overall a very respectful sellout crowd with fans of both clubs supporting the match in a great spirit,” the statement continued.

A NSW Police spokeswoman said officers were patrolling the stadium at Kogarah during the Bulldogs’ 28-22 win when they were told “a man had thrown a pie at another person within the stands”.

Police spoke to multiple people but did not make any arrests.

The spokeswoman said inquiries were continuing anyone with information should contact St George Police.

Facebook users were quick to denounce the act, with one saying the NRL and Dragons “must take a formal stance” following the incident.

Another said “bring it” and urged the pie-thrower to “see what happens when you come to Belmore but don’t winge (sic)”.

Multiple other comments said the fan was an “idiot” and he was “lucky” he didn’t hit the wrong person.

A Dragons fan also condemned the act, saying “he doesn’t represent us”.

“He just happens to be an idiot wearing a Dragons jersey that needs a hiding,” that user wrote.
