A Mid-North Coast man will defend a child abuse material charge after two other charges were withdrawn, including possessing a child-like sex doll.
Christopher Farmer, 42, is due to face two courts on two charges.
The more serious charge of using a carriage service to access child abuse material will be heard in the district court.
A charge of cultivating a prohibited plant will remain in the local court.
On Tuesday Farmer entered a not guilty plea for the child abuse material charge in Coffs Harbour Local Court.
He was committed to trial and is set to formally be arraigned in the district court on August 11.
Meanwhile the two additional charges against Farmer have been withdrawn without pleas recorded.
Farmer is yet to enter a plea on the cultivating a prohibited plant charge and faces local court again on August 13.
He was granted bail on June 19 and it remains in place.
