Tech billionaire Richard White has been dragged into the messy split of Nathalie May Matthews and independent NSW MP Mark Latham.

The WiseTech Global co-founder and former CEO was on Friday served a subpoena by Mr Latham’s lawyer for all communications between Mr White and Ms Matthews.

Ms Matthews was also served a subpoena for her communications with Mr White as part of Mr Latham’s legal efforts to oppose an apprehended violence order (AVO) application his ex-lover has made against him following the breakdown of their relationship. Mr White is not accused of any wrongdoing.

The move came as text messages obtained by The Saturday Telegraph showed Mr Latham and Ms Matthews discussed Mr White on several occasions during their relationship, joking about insider trading and oral sex. The texts show Mr Latham and Ms Matthews had discussed buying WiseTech shares hours after four board directors resigned, wiping billions off the company.

According to Whats-App messages between the pair, Ms Matthews said it was “time to buy up” shares after the stock price plummeted on February 24, 2025.

“I think I will go in strong,” she told Mr Latham, before suggesting she would buy $30,000 in stock.

Mr Latham jokingly responded that Mr White “will want you to suck his c--- to celebrate”.

Two minutes later, Mr Latham suggested Mr White would be reinstated as CEO, which would increase the share price.

“So buy 30k at 2pm today.

“Bargain,” he said.

Ms Matthews then jokingly asked whether the discussion was “insider trading”.

“Not insider trading at all,” Mr Latham responded.

“Buy back in now,” he said.

He then suggested the share price would go to $130 “with big Dick CEO and new board”.

Earlier, on the morning of October 10, 2024, the texts show the pair discussed the WiseTech scandal with Mr Latham sending a humorous message to Ms Matthews to “Get that compo NDA!!!!” (nondisclosure agreement).

Ms Matthews replied there were “not really grounds” that would require compensation.

“I could kill my professional career,” Ms Matthews said. “Remember I don’t have a secure job.” Mr Latham responded with another joke: “In the circumstances of the company collapsing, they will pay big time”.

The conversation continued throughout the day.

“Careful, when he stands down another big drop,” Mr Latham said at 2.23pm.

“He won’t,” Ms Matthews responded. “Insider trading here,” she said, followed by the tongue out winking emoji.

WiseTech announced Mr White’s resignation to the ASX that afternoon.

Separate to the WiseTech controversy, Ms Matthews is seeking an order preventing Mr Latham from going within 100m of her, alleging an “ongoing, reasonable fear of harassment, intimidation, and potential harm”.

Police have not laid any charges and Mr Latham has vehemently denied the allegations and called them “comically false and ridiculous”.

Ms Matthews, a Liberal Party branch member and former council candidate, was in a relationship with Mr Latham for about two years. It ended on May 27.

Mr Latham said he was unable to speak further given the legal proceedings, but declared that the relationship had been an open one: “It was never a monogamous relationship”.

Among Ms Matthews’ claims against Mr Latham include that he pressured her to “engage in sexual acts with others”, court documents state.

The subpoena served on Ms Matthews is in relation to contact made between her and Mr White during the period she was seeing Mr Latham. The nature of those communications and their relevance to the AVO matter, if any, has not been disclosed.

It is understood Mr White and Ms Matthews made contact in 2023, with Mr White understood to have paid for her to attend a Wise Tech conference around March 2024.

Ms Matthews runs a freight and logistics company based in Dubai called Matthews Services LLC.

She also had an OnlyFans account – now deactivated – called Bondi C-- Slut.

Mr Latham began a relationship with Ms Matthews during the March 2023 state election campaign.

Ms Matthews had been married to UK-born Ross Matthews for about seven years before their marriage ended in 2022.

However, it is understood Mr Latham came to the view during his relationship with Ms Matthews that she was still in regular contact with her ex-husband, which was an ongoing source of tension between them.

The relationship between Mr Latham and Ms Matthews was of a highly sexualised nature, with Mr Latham declaring earlier this week: “I had a sex life that I’ve got to say was fantastic”.

We are aware of communications between the pair that show Ms Matthews also participated in often brash and sexualised commentary about other women, captioning one photo taken with a former federal candidate as “2 sluts love talking business”.

Ms Matthews and Mr Latham broke up on May 27. A subsequent text exchanged between the pair – leaked to The Daily Telegraph earlier this week – showed a message between Mr Latham and Ms Matthews in which he accused her of “a physical attack”.

Mr Latham then said he reported “the attack on me” to parliamentary security.

Ms Matthews has firmly denied the accusation. No further action was taken regarding his claims.

Ms Matthews filed her AVO application accusing Mr Latham of subjecting her to “a sustained pattern” of psychological, financial, and emotional abuse – all of which he strongly denies.

Ms Matthews lawyer Sarah McMahon said her client had no comment to make about Mr White.

“What is disappointing in this situation, where an individual has sought help from the judicial system, and before the court has even had the ability to hear the matter, is my client has been subjected to character assassination, reputational damage and trial by media,” she said. “Any individual in genuine fear should have the right to seek protection without vilification.”

The matter will be heard on July 30.
