Family and friends of a man who died after a horror crash in Sydney’s southwest have launched a charity fundraiser to build a mosque in his name. Read their touching tribute.

The victim of a horror fatal crash in Sydney’s southwest has been remembered as a “kind” and “beautiful soul”.
About 3.20pm on Saturday, March 29, emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, Greenacre, following reports of a multi car involving a van, hatchback and sedan.
The driver of the hatchback – a man believed to be in his 20s – was treated at the scene however could not be revived.
He has since been identified as 22-year-old Mohamad Abbouchi.
In a statement, NSW Police said the two other male drivers were subjected to testing with the remaining occupants of the vehicle transported to Liverpool Hospital to treat non-life threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, a community notice of Mohamad’s death was posted to the Request Dua Facebook page.
Mohamed, who practised the Islamic faith, died the day before Eid – one of the most significant celebrations for Muslims.
“It’s with heavy hearts we announce Mohammed Abbouchi passed away in a car accident in Ramadan,” the notice stated.
“O Allah (God), forgive him and have mercy on him and grant him peace and pardon him. Receive him with honour and make his place of entry (in grave) spacious.
“May (God) give strength and patience to his family. Ameen.”
An AusRelief charity fundraiser has since been launched to raise funds to build a mosque in his name.
The fundraiser, started by the Abbouchi family, has already raised $2860 of its $30,000 goal.
“With heavy hearts, we remember our beloved Mohamed Abbouchi, who left this world at just 22 years old,” the Abbouchi family said in an online statement.
“His kindness, warmth, and beautiful soul touched so many lives. In his honour, we are raising funds to build a mosque in his name.
“May this be a source of ongoing reward for him, and may (God) grant him Jannah (heaven) and ease for his loved ones.”
