NT Police are investigating after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man known to her in the Northern Suburbs.

NT Police are investigating after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man known to her in the Northern Suburbs.

The woman, who police say is aged over the age of 18, was allegedly attacked by the 32-year-old man in Ludmilla about 12.15am on Friday.

Police said they were unable to find the alleged offender upon arrival and he still remains on the run.

St John Ambulance took the woman to Royal Darwin Hospital for medical assessment.

Sex Crimes Detectives have carriage of the incident and investigations remain ongoing.

The incident follows two unrelated incidents of alleged indecent assaults in the Northern Suburbs since Tuesday.
