DARWIN’S “world record masturbator” Gary Thomas Chisholm got his comeuppance in the court yesterday after pleading guilty to two indecent exposure charges.

DARWIN’S “world record masturbator” Gary Thomas Chisholm got his comeuppance in the court yesterday after pleading guilty to two indecent exposure charges.

Chisholm, 45, pleaded guilty to having a public wank in front of three bystanders at Berry Springs in November last year, and later, while out on bail, masturbating at the feet of a “particularly attractive” nude sunbaker at Casuarina nudist beach.

Peter Maley, defending, said: “He has got to stop masturbating. He is now seeking help.” Mr Maley said Chisholm masturbated between seven and 10 times a day, often ducking in to public toilets to do the deed. “He says he’s extremely good at masturbating. He can do it extremely quickly,” Mr Maley said.

“He basically has almost the world record in masturbating.”

Mr Maley said Chisholm recognised he had a problem, and had been seeing a doctor in recent months. “He has to now come to grips with perhaps taking some kind of blocker to (stop him) doing it.”

The court heard Chisholm masturbated “vigorously, while thrusting his hips” in front of three bystanders at Berry Springs nature reserve just before closing time on November 24 last year.

The bystanders followed Chisholm to the carpark, and took photos or him driving off in his black Holden Maloo ute.

He later told police: “I thought I was alone.” Chisholm reoffended and breached his bail – which banned him from beaches and parks – within a two weeks, when, on December 6 he approached a naked, sleeping female sunbather at Casuarina nudist beach.

The court heard the sunbaker woke upon hearing a “fast, wet, slippery kind of sound”, and hit Chisholm with a large stick after he said: “sorry, I was just putting on lotion”.

Judge Tanya Fong Lim handed Chisholm a suspended sentence and said: “Your behaviour on both of these occasions is appalling. “You may say you are embarrassed about having to come to court but you can imagine the embarrassment that both those ladies must have had.”

Chisholm was sentenced to a total of five weeks and two days jail, suspended immediately.
