NT Police said they first received reports of the crash about 10.20am, leading them to launch a search and rescue operation while a CareFlight helicopter was dispatched.
A 29-year-old woman was winched from the waters by the CareFlight helicopter and transported to Royal Darwin Hospital by St John Ambulance for assessment, NT Police said.

Initial: January 12, 4.30pm: A light aircraft believed to be a microlight plane has reportedly come down into the croc-infested waters of Fogg Dam according to an eye witness.
The witness, who asked not to be named, said she saw the aircraft in the waters, and the multi-force rescue that followed.
The witness said she first saw the aircraft flying pretty low overhead about 9am on Sunday.
“They didn’t seem to be having any trouble,” she told this masthead.
About 11am the witness spotted the first sign of trouble — a police car flashing past.
After that, she said she saw the aircraft in the water, about an estimated 50-75m from the dam wall.
“There were about three police cars, ambulance, a CareFlight team, and Parks and Wildlife brought their airboat,” the witness said.
She reported seeing one occupant rescued from on top of the aircraft.
The witness said she was then asked to leave the park by NT Police as they continued their rescue efforts.
NT Police as well as St John NT, Parks and Wildlife, and CareFlight have been contacted.
More to come.
