Matt Wright’s new television series has paid tribute to beloved cast member Chris ‘Willow’ Wilson. SEE WHAT THEY SAID.

CHRIS ‘Willow’ Wilson’s life has been commemorated in the last episode of Matt Wright’s Wild Territory television series.

The last episode of the season, aired on Channel 9 on Tuesday, ended with the series informing viewers of Willow’s death in February.

“A few weeks after the conclusion of filming Willow was tragically killed while working in a remote part of his beloved Northern Territory,” it read.

“This series is dedicated to him.”

The 34-year-old father-of-two was killed in a helicopter crash in a remote part of West Arnhem.

He was farewelled in a service at Darwin Convention Centre, attended by hundreds of mourners.

In the final scenes of the episode, the team celebrated Willow receiving his chopper licence with beers at the pub and a waterfall.

“This is one of the best days in my entire life,” Willow said.

“The only thing that can compete – marrying me wife and having both me sons. Apart from that, getting a helicopter licence and spending the day with the lads having a few beers, can’t beat it.”

Willow’s death shocked the wildlife world, with many remembering him as a “bloody legend” who had a burning passion for nature, the Northern Territory and his family.

His colleague Sebastian Robinson, 28, suffered serious injuries from the crash and was taken to Brisbane for treatment.
