The Territory’s own psychic croc has predicted the winner of the 2025 Australian federal election with one very quick snap. Find out who he picked.

The NT’s psychic croc has had its say on yet another election and in his wisdom has chosen against polling suggestions.

The 36-year-old oracle croc Speckles predicted the Anthony Albanese Labor government will make way for Peter Dutton’s coalition on Friday morning.

It’s the second time the saltie has run the rule on who will take power in Canberra in a federal election after predicting Albanese would beat former prime minister Scott Morrison in 2022.

The 4.8m crocodile spent little time deliberating his decision, going straight up to grab the chunk of buffalo meat dangling below Dutton’s face.

As it stands Albanese is beating Dutton in the polls and in position to hold to government for another term, but that’s not how Speckles sees it.

However, it should be noted while being right in 2022 the crocodile’s record in the intervening period has been more than a little wayward.

The alleged seer’s third eye predicted the Matildas would beat England in the 2023 World Cup, and that Eva Lawler would beat Lia Finocchiaro in the Territory election.

In both cases the opposite result came to the pass.

But maybe Speckles’ one true love is federal politics, and for a croc who spends his time lavishly enjoying his pool nothing else matters.
