Darwin commuters were diverted in all directions after two cars crashed in the centre of a busy CBD intersection on Thursday morning.
Police and ambulance services arrived on the scene outside the Darwin Local Court and ABC Darwin building, where Bennett and Cavenagh streets intersect, before 10am.
Police said they received reports of a two vehicle collision at the location.
A Red holden and a dark Pajero were both towed from the scene.
The Pajero’s airbags could be seen to have been activated with significant damage to its front.
Oil also appeared to have spilt across the intersection, covered with soil.
A man could be seen on the roadside undertaking a health examination.
It is unclear whether the driver of the second vehicle was injured.
