FORMER Don Dale inmate Leroy O’Shea is back behind bars after being charged with a string of car theft, traffic and stealing charges.
O’Shea, 19, appeared briefly in Darwin Local Court on Thursday where his lawyer Chrissy McConnell said O’Shea would not be applying for bail.
O’Shea is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving in a dangerous manner, dangerous driving, and stealing.
O’Shea was last in court in October when his then-lawyer Matt Hubber said O’Shea wanted to move to Queensland to avoid the bad influences of his friends in Darwin.
“His plan for the future, and it’s a plan which his family has put together, is to move to Far North Queensland,” Mr Hubber said at the time.
O’Shea will return to court on March 23 for a plea or sentence.
