A man who allegedly stole tens of thousands from victims across Australia has been pinged by the NT Police’s cybercrime unit, with officers also seizing drugs.

A MAN who allegedly swindled almost $100,000 from victims across Australia has been nabbed by NT Police.
The 36-year-old man was allegedly involved in multiple online scams over three years, leading to an “intensive” investigation from the Cybercrime unit.

Police alleged he stole over $94,000 from people in New South Wales and Western Australia, allegedly through “inheritance frauds, business email compromise, romance scams and rent scams”.
A home in Darwin was raided yesterday, with officers saying they seized drug paraphernalia, a cannabis plant and 318 grams of marijuana.
He was charged with 11 counts of money laundering, cultivation of less than a trafficable quantity, and possession of trafficable quantity schedule 2 drug.
The man will appear in Darwin Local Court on Friday.
