Healthcare heroes conducting coronavirus tests at Torquay Community Health Centre have been gifted cookies made with kindness to thank them for their hard work.

The colourful biscuits feature messages like “Iso grateful thank you” and “Not all heroes wear capes”.

This Sweet Obsession custom cookie maker Leanne Quinn, who lives in Torquay, said she believed the health workers were doing great work and needed to be appreciated.

She said she received “so many” grateful messages from nurses following the delivery.

Ms Quinn said she had seen an increase in people wanting to send packs to their friends with inspiring messages throughout the pandemic.
