TWO young women were flown to hospital following a two car crash at Batesford on Thursday night.
The 19-year-old teens from Cohuna and Kennington were travelling west along the Midland Highway about 8.30pm when their Hyundai Getz veered onto the opposite of the road and collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser, police say.
The two teens were trapped for a short time before emergency services freed the pair.
They were flown to hospital in a serious but non-life threatening condition.
The occupants of the 4WD, two adults and five children, escaped uninjured.
Police are yet to determine the exact cause of the collision.
It is being investigated by Geelong Highway Patrol officers.
