Surfers Paradise: Man charged after 21-year-old falls from balcony
Police have charged a man after a 21-year-old fell eight metres from a balcony on the Gold Coast.

POLICE have charged a man after a 21-year-old fell from a balcony in Surfers Paradise.
Emergency services were called to a disturbance at a building on Cavill Avenue about 7.15pm on Sunday.
Police allege during the altercation a 21-year-old was being assaulted and attempted to flee over a balcony onto an awning when he fell.
Queensland Ambulance Service said he fell approximately eight metres.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with rib and back injuries.
Four men were involved in the incident aged 15, 21, 26 and 31.
The 31-year-old man has been charged.
Police investigations are ongoing.
