Sidewalk Sales make Central Geelong bargain hunter paradise on Melbourne Cup Day

BRIDES on a budget may only need a spare $50 note to snap up a stylish wedding gown for their big day as Geelong’s annual Melbourne Cup Day Sidewalk Sales take bargains to the streets tomorrow.

BRIDES on a budget may only need a spare $50 note to snap up a stylish wedding gown for their big day as Geelong’s annual Melbourne Cup Day sidewalk sales take bargains to the streets tomorrow.

Bridal House will be offering discounted gowns as part of the Central Geelong Shopping Festival and Sidewalk Sales.

More than 175 businesses will have sales and deals as part of the event.

Sidewalk sale deals include half-price jewellery at Bevilles jewellers, suits from $99 at Connor and $2 milkshakes at Degani (mention “form guide”).

A pair of traders hubs will host most of the action, with the Event Hub in Little Malop St Central including live music, a garden party area, kids’ zone and a pamper marquee.

The West Hub in Little Malop St West will include fashion parades at 10.30am and 11.30am, a meet and greet with Geelong Cats AFLW player Anna Teague and a “sweet street”.

Last year. more than 25,000 people flocked to central Geelong for Melbourne Cup Day.
