SERVICE with a smile has brought joy to many Territorians during the coronavirus crisis, and one local’s grin has earned him a nomination in the Territory Hero Awards.

Alberto Pindot, who owns La Cure Cafe, was nominated for the Neighbourhood Hero Award for his unwavering friendliness and excellent service during the coronavirus crisis.
“I treat my customers like family,” he said. “All of my customers that come in here, I remember their names and what they like, not just coffee.
“It brings some smiles to their faces. I see them coming and I have their coffee ready and when they come in they’re surprised. It brightens their day.”

Mr Pindot said despite all the chaos and uncertainty ahead, he would continue to smile. “If you see a smiling face behind the counter, it’s a beautiful morning,” he said.
