Royal watch: Prince Harry and Meghan kick off Australian tour with baby announcement
PRINCE Harry has again come face-to-face again with Daphne Dunne, the 98-year-old woman who has become Australia’s most beloved royal fan.
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have kicked off their royal tour in Sydney, with the Duchess giving a glimpse of her new baby bump in a white dress by an Australian designer.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met royal fans at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday, with thousands of well-wishers turning out to see the newlyweds.
Among them was 98-year-old war widow Daphne Dunne, who has met Harry twice before and asked him to introduce her to his new wife.
“Oh my goodness, is this Daphne?” Meghan asked.
“She’s said she had heard all about me, she’s so beautiful,” Mrs Dunne said. “I wished them well with the baby on the way and said this is what Harry has been waiting for for so long.”
