NT Police are searching for the driver of a buggy who allegedly crashed into a quad bike before driving away, leaving a driver suffering serious injuries.

NT Police are calling for information after the crash at about 11am on Tuesday.

“A quad bike was struck by a yellow Can-Am buggy approximately 2km from the Iron Bridge, on the Gunn Point side,” a police spokesman said.

“The yellow Can-Am buggy left the scene following the crash.”

The quad bike rider, a 25-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for medical treatment.
