A grassfire near Bannockburn spread to around four acres in size before it was brought under control on Monday night.
Nine tankers including CFA crews from Anakie, Lethbridge and Bannockburn responded to the incident in Russells Bridge at Russells Bridge Road at about 6.40pm following reports of an alleged out-of-control bonfire.
By the time crews attended the scene at around 7pm, the fire had spread to approximately four acres in size, with it burning up a steep hill.
The fire was declared under control at 7.16pm, and air support was not required.
Police also attended the scene.
