Man suspected of shooting ex-bikie Sam Abdulrahim attempted to hide in KFC bin

CCTV has captured the moment a man suspected of shooting former Mongols bikie Sam Abdulrahim appears to try to hide after the shooting.

The man suspected of ambushing ex-Mongols bikie Sam Abdulrahim earlier this year attempted to hide in a bin at a KFC following the shooting, police claim.

Victoria Police have released new CCTV footage of two men of interest, who were spied purchasing petrol cans before the organised crime figure was shot in broad daylight in Melbourne on 25 June.

Abdulrahim, also known as the “The Punisher”, was driving his Mercedes in a funeral procession on Box Forest Rd in Fawkner when a Mazda SUV pulled up alongside the vehicle.

The occupants of the Mazda fired multiple shots into the Mercedes, severely wounding the pro-boxer, before fleeing in the vehicle.

After crashing into a fire hydrant and pole near Sydney Rd, one of the men is believed to have attempted to hide in a bin at the back of a KFC.

A second man is suspected by Police of carjacking a Ford Territory wagon from a mother, whose four year-year-old was in the car at the time, before driving the vehicle to Brunswick Dr in Epping at about 10pm.

He was then caught on CCTV in the street.
