Man found stabbed to death in South Melbourne overnight

A crime scene has been set up outside a building in South Melbourne after a man was found outside with multiple stab wounds.

Victoria Police are investigating after a man was found stabbed to death outside a public housing block in South Melbourne.

The yet-to-be identified male was found by a passer-by outside a Dorcas Street building about 9.30pm, police confirmed in a statement.

Paramedics attempted to revive the male, but he died at the scene.
