UBER Eats has announced its 20th Australian location – and its second in Tasmania.
The service launched in Launceston today with eateries quick to sign up for the food delivery app.
The service allows customers to order food from registered businesses through an app and have it delivered to their door by Uber ‘delivery partners’ for a fixed fee.
So far, 20 businesses have registered, including Bengal Tiger, Baba’s Kebabs, Plough Inn, Food for Dudes, Saigon Kitchen and Lucky Bowl.
Uber Eats state manager Elisa Janiec said it was “delighted” to partner with Launceston restaurants.
“No matter where people are, we want them to have access to delicious, fresh, local food delivered whenever they want it,” she said.
“We’re excited to bring a new level of convenience to even more Tasmanians.”
