A special program is helping kids gain confidence by hitting the waves on the Surf Coast.
The Kids Plus Foundation Surf Ed Program, run in conjunction with Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club, has seen kids enjoying the water this week.
The goal of the four-day program is for children and young adults with cerebral palsy, which impacts movement and posture, to improve their confidence and skills in the water.
Kids Plus Foundation provides specialist therapy services for young people with neuro-developmental conditions in order to increase their participation and engagement in daily life.
All participants in the Surf Ed Program attend Kids Plus Foundation for therapy.
The Surf Ed program provides a fun, supportive and inclusive environment for children to improve their skills in the surf, catch waves and learn about water safety.
Jan Juc SLSC provides hands on assistance and equipment to support children in having fun and feeling safe in the water.
