Ghislaine Maxwell condemned to yoga and movie nights in fancy new Florida digs

The madam can indulge in avocado oatmeal body scrub and baking classes after a surprise transfer to Florida, where she groomed an underage girl for Jeffrey Epstein.

Socialite groomer Ghislaine Maxwell is becoming accustomed to a certain lifestyle in the Sunshine State.

The convicted sex trafficker who lodged more than 100 complaints about jail conditions during her trial - including rats and excessive body cavity searches - was given a surprise transfer to a low-security prison known for its yoga and movie privileges.

The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Tallahassee offers the workout classes and films along with the in-prison sale of Maybelline mascara and Dove sensitive body wash to maintain make-up and skincare routines.

It is also in the US state of Florida, where Maxwell lived with Jeffrey Epstein during the billionaire paedophile’s systemic sexual abuse of underage girls.

She was transferred there on Monday local time despite Judge Alison Nathan requesting during sentencing that she be sent to FCI Danbury, north of New York in the neighbouring state of Connecticut,

FCI Danbury - made famous by the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black - is an equally cushy low-security prison. But the Bureau of Prisons, which has the final say on where inmates are held, confirmed the move in prison records that list her release from Tallahassee FCI on August 17, 2037.

Maxwell will be just shy of her 76th birthday on her scheduled release date if her expected appeal is not successful.

She could shave further years off the sentence through good behaviour and parole, but for now, she’ll make the Florida prison her home for the next 15 years.

She’ll have more than 800 male and female housemates to spend her days in classes and apprenticeship training, according to the Bureau of Prison’s handbook. It also promotes the “recreation, leisure and social” privileges available to inmates.

Instead of orange, a khaki dress or a matching pants/ shirt combo is the new black, according to the handbook. There are arts and crafts programs and team sports like volleyball and softball.

The Zoukis Consulting Group, which advises incoming prisoners, said the most popular activities include pilates and yoga, which Maxwell offered to teach inmates during her time in jail.

“Indoors, inmates can participate in various recreation activities, including: Artwork and hobby, craft program, talent Shows, movies, lectures on health and exercise,” the group says on its website.

They also highlight how inmates have access to lifestyle luxuries like MP3 players, which a commissary list published on the prison’s websites lists for $226.50.

Inmates have a maximum of $520 to spend per month on a wide selection of creature comforts. A ladies’ Timex watch sells for $28, an avocado oatmeal body scrub sells for $6.25, Maybelline mascara sells for $12.70, and sterling silver hoop earrings sell for $17.

She could also pick up a new address book for $3.45 after the little black book of contacts she kept was entered into evidence for her trial on conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse a minor.

She was sentenced to 20 years with five years of supervised release and two years credit for the time served, as well as a $1 million fine.
