A TERRITORY board game designer has finally pulled the pieces of his latest game idea together, with hopes of mass producing his children’s game, BushPoo.

Wanguri resident Justin Crooks said after designing board games his whole life, often for school groups and children, he has finally designed a game he thinks has what it takes to become a classic.

“It’s a very simple game, my wife and I remembered this year we’d booked a cabin in Mt Lofty in SA and a hiker begged us to use our bathroom,” he said.

“We thought ‘What a crazy idea for a game, what you do when you’re halfway up a mountain and you have to do a poo’ and the game made itself from that point.

“Our sons are 7 and 4 years old, our number one target market and we knew this would be so great because we had boys and poo jokes are their number one thing to laugh about, that’s universal.

“It’s been tested with other local kids in the Territory so the humour is bent in that direction.”

After making five or six games over the years, along with all the other half-baked games made in a night or a couple of hours, Mr Crooks finally feels BushPoo is worthy of making professionally.

But Mr Crooks’ dream will need help if it is to become a reality and he launched a month long crowd-funding campaign on Monday.

HOT NEW DEAL: Read everything for 28 days for just $1

“I’ve set a goal of $15,000 which will cover the print run and cover shipping,” he said.

“That will make 1500 copies of the game, every single one will be a unique collector’s item, in preparation for the day when the game’s a classic on everyone’s shelf.”
