CHIEF Minister Michael Gunner has supported calls by the Tasmanian Premier to extend the JobKeeper payment.
Premier Peter Gutwein called for the JobKeeper payment to be extended after it was massively over-estimated by $60 billion.
“The scheme should be extended for a longer period targeting additional support at those industries such as tourism and hospitality that will take longer to recover,” he said.

“The crisis won’t be over in a few months, this is a long road. So if we can keep JobKeeper for longer we should.
