Cairns waterfall injury: Rescue underway at Crystal Cascades

UPDATE: A man has been taken to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition after injuring himself at a Cairns waterfall on Saturday.

UPDATE: A MAN has been taken to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition after injuring himself at Crystal Cascades on Saturday.

Authorities could not confirm if he had dived in the swimming hole, or slipped, and hurt himself.

EARLIER: EMERGENCY services are currently trying to reach a person who has fallen at Crystal Cascades in Redlynch.

Queensland Ambulance Services crew have requested help from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services to winch a stretcher up to the patient.

QAS received a call about the incident about 12.45pm.

Plenty of Redlynch residents heard several emergency vehicles racing to the area.
