SHADI Jabar, using the name Umm Isa al Amrikiah, created an encrypted Telegram social media channel, on January 15, 2016, describing herself as “living in dawlah with a beast.”
She wrote: “This channel is dedicated to everyone who wishes to do Hijrah to the blessed land of Sham (Syria) … I will be posting daily reminders, pictures of Sham, short articles and general
information about my life here in Sham … I am a married sister so all brothers will be directed to the Beast who married me on his telegram.”
The first pictures she posted were of a gun, snacks and food and her signature pink dumbbells. The caption was Life in dawlah.
January 17 – Posted pictures of a pizza with the caption: “Taken a few days ago. Did the dough and hubby the topping.”
January 18 – In a lengthy rant she warns men (brothers) not to message her, asking why they are imiting the kuffar (infidels). “So at least have the decency in you to leave me aloen and do not expect me to reply. My account is for sisters only, so unless you menstruate do not message me. And anyone who messages me will be forwarded to my husband and will be dealt with accordingly … PS. I do not apologise for my harsh words. You’re not a little girl such that you should get offended.”
January 19 – Posted a picture of what she said was a suicide belt along with a gun and a knife.
“Allhamdulilah finally got my Hizam (suicide belt) today. May Allah subhana wa ta’ala grant me the opportunity to sue it soon, to grant me the honor to sacrifice my self for Him, for his deen (to kill the kuffars). May Allah wa ta’ala grant us all shahadah Ameen.”
January 20 – “Fear Allah subhana wa ta’ala and delete your pictures from social media! Whether you are wearing Niqab or not. What is the point? What are you trying to do? What is the reason for putting your pictures? The only reason I can think of is YOU wanting to attract men.”
January 21 – “Are you a Hijabi or a Hoejabi? Hijabi: A Muslimah who is fully covered head to toe, as her Lord commanded. Hoejabi: A hybrid between a whore and a hijabi. A creature somewhat confused whether she belongs in this camp or that … If you look pretty or cute in the hijab then know that you’re doing something wrong …You should be striving to be the future mother of lions and lionesses, you should be following the footsteps of the righteous women, not the prostitutes (the kuffar celebrities) of today … That body you are showing and that face full of makeup, all this beauty will be worth nothing when you are burning in the depths of hell (may Allah protect us from it).”
January 25 – “Who out there will get u and kill the kuffars in the west? Who wants to sacrifice
himself for the sake of Allah subhana wa ta’ala? Get off your couches and do something instead of spending 24/7 on social media. You think you are doing something good by posting some ahadith and verses of the Quran while your brothers are out in the cold dark night facing the enemies? Your cry out on social media ‘I want sharia’ ‘I want to make hijrah’ yet you are doing nothing about it. You are not a man, just a male.”
February 3 – “Have you open the Book of Allah subhana wa ta’ala today? A lot of us may have the time to talk to family and friends. We sit and chat, keep texting our friends yet not bothered to open the book of Allah subhana wa ta’ala to read a page or so.”
February 5 – “What has become of the men of today? When asked to help your brothers and sister, they say we have no money. When asked to make hijrah they say we have no money …you expect to hand you everything on a plate? You want a red carpet spread for you so your precious feet don’t get dirty! You coward braths! Our brothers had left their women, children, wealth to come here. Our brothers shed their blood for this Khalifah to be established. You spoilt brats! … you are not men. You are an embarrassment for the Ummah.”
February 14 – the Impermissibility of celebrating Valentine’s Day.
February 15 – “It seems some sisters are going behind my back, gossiping and claiming I am not helping them … Sisters please learn some patience, manners and deen. You think Allah subhnaa wa ta’ala will help you while going against him?”
March 21 – One day before the Brussels airport attack she posted the contact details of an IS recruiter in Belgium. “For Hijrah and dawa’ah advices for Belgium brothers; please contact (Sheikh’s name).
March 27 – “some of you sisters, seems to have no trouble messaging brothers or tagging them on social media or joining groups with them … You think these men you are talking to care about you? You think they love you? All they think about is your body. All they care about is your body.”

March 28 – “There are many muslims in the social media claiming that the ISLAMIC ST5ATE was not justified in killing the ‘innocent civilians’ of Brussles and that the massacre was not Islamic. So here we have come up with proofs from the Quran, Ahidith and Ijima of the scholars to prove that the
#Brussels_attack was totally Islamic and doesn’t go against the Islamic teachings.”
April 19 – Jabar’s last posts on her Telegram channel. At 12.25pm on April 19, Jabar wrote about the need to unburden oneself from worries and problems. “Always remember, u were created with a greater purpose & for a greater place – not to fret over this world & to carry it’s worries with u.”
